Your body We had been sent on this earth with this body and since our birth it has been developing on and ultimately this body starts decaying and one day we die and we are no more in this world. It clearly means that we are here because our body is there and when thei body is nomore in this world, we are no more in this world. herefore, it has become our first duty to keep this body alive, healthy and infunctional order because all our thoughts, all our actions are there only when this body is alive.

We shall have to learn the art of keeping this body hale and healthy till our death and we shall have to make it sure that we should not make this body so weak that we may depend upon others and we must know that others would not like to serve us at least when we are totally dependant upon others. If others are to look after us, they shall be tired and one day they too shall be standing in prayer before God and shall be praying for our early death. such a situation in life is the worst and everyone of us must try to keep his body hale and healthy till his death. Therefore, we should try to believe in the concept of prevention is better than cure. We shall have to become our own doctor and we shall have to discipline ourselves in the field of our eating habits, our taking rest, our taking exercise, our keeping ourselves clean and we shall have to take exercise daily and we shall be utilizing this time in examining our body from all the sides and if there is some trouble, we should ensure that we have medical treatment in time.

PostHeaderIcon Why Do My Legs Hurt?

Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is becoming more and more prevalent in America. Our love of fast food and convenience has lead to almost 10 million Americans to be diagnosed with PAD. Our body naturally starts forming plaques in our arteries. This is part of the aging process. Unhealthy lifestyles though cause abnormal increases in plaque and as we get older, these high levels of plaque hardens and causes narrowing of the blood vessels. Arteries supply the body with blood rich in oxygen. If the vessels narrow, the body is not getting the appropriate amount of oxygen to the organs and muscles. Thus, those with PAD are four times more likely to have a heart attack and almost three times more likely to have a stroke.

Who is at Risk? Those with diabetes have a significant risk in developing PAD. So much so, that the American Diabetes Association recommend everyone with diabetes over the age of 50 should be tested. Other high risk factors are high blood pressure, high cholesterol, family history of heart disease, or being overweight. Smoking will also increase your likelihood of developing PADS by four times.

The first signs and symptoms of PAD are often first seen in the legs and feet. This is why we highly encourage high risk patients to pay close attention to pain, discomfort or open lesions in the legs and feet. One will often feel like their legs get tired or painful when walking or climbing exercise. When experiencing this pain, it will go away with rest. This is termed intermittent claudicating and is a sign that your muscles are not getting enough oxygen. One may also feel numbness or tingling, coldness, changes in color, hair loss on the legs and feet. These are all be signs of a serious problem, but some people who have PAD do not appear with any of these symptoms. Thus it is very important to still get tested if you are at risk.

Cardio Workouts for Weight Loss. Aerobic exercise can help you to lose weight, as well as increase your overall health. Aerobic exercise provides the dual benefits of working large muscle groups, while simultaneously elevating the heart rate for an extended amount of time. These exercises are particularly helpful in keeping your heart in good shape. Healthy exercise will burn fat without the bulky muscle gain of weight-based exercise programs. Experts recommend that aerobic exercise is most effective if practiced between 3 to 6 days a week for between 30 and 60 minutes at a time. Before starting an aerobic workout plan, consult your doctor for an idea of a healthy program implementation.

Options for Aerobic Exercise
The best thing is that there is an option for everyone. Any activity in which you maintain a consistent heightened heart rate is considered aerobic exercise. Some of the most popular types include:

Running
Jogging
Power Walking
Swimming
Dancing
Biking
Tennis

Additionally, classes are available in many communities or through a home-based DVD program. The main criteria for classifying an exercise as aerobic is whether or not the heart rate is elevated for more than 10-15 minutes at a time. Even if you’re a beginner who needs to start slow, the more exercise you participate in, the more you will be able to do over time.

Safe Exercise
As with any exercise program, safety is an important factor to consider as you begin. To avoid muscle pulls and joint injuries, be sure to warm up adequately before you start any type of intense conditioning. Just as important is a cool down period after you exercise. Walk off or stretch slowly before resuming normal activity. Having the proper shoes is also a major safety issue. Finally, be sure to monitor your heart rate while exercising. To check your heart rate, put two fingers on your wrist and count the number of times you feel a pulse over ten seconds.
